Background

Prior to founding 5AM Capital in 2022, Sam had 16 years of investment and finance experience – including Family Office, Listed and Unlisted Global Equities experience.

Sam has five years of family office investment experience as Chief Investment Officer and Investment Committee member across two family offices managing significant intergenerational long dated capital.

Prior to this, Sam enjoyed a successful 11-year investment and investment banking career with Macquarie Capital in New York and Sydney where, amongst many other learnings and competencies, he developed a strong appreciation for businesses with long dated durable revenues and high margins.

Qualifications

Sam holds a Combined Bachelor of Commerce and Laws from UNSW. Sam has held seven board directorships across portfolio companies and non-for profits.

Background

Tom is a passionate investor with funds management, management consulting and software strategy experience. Tom previously worked in the strategy team of a large (US$25bn+), high growth Australian software company (Canva) focused on M&A, due diligence, modelling and growth strategy. Prior to this, Tom worked at L.E.K. Consulting, where he worked across a range of industries undertaking strategic, vendor and commercial due diligence for private equity clients.

Qualifications

He holds an MBA from the University of Oxford with Distinction and a Bachelor of Chemical Engineering from UNSW as a Co-Op Scholar, receiving the Lyceum Prize for 1st placed thesis.

Background

Glenn was previously a Founder and the Chief Executive Officer of Ellerston Capital Ltd an alternative asset management business established to manage the Packer Family’s wealth and external investors capital in public equity markets and managed fund investments. Over the period at Ellerston Capital, assets under management grew in excess of $4 billion to become a global leading alternative asset manager. Prior to this, Glenn was Head of Asia Pacific, Deutsche Bank's - Absolute Return Strategies Group. Glenn established this business into the market leader and was a member of the Investment Committee and Compliance Committees. He is also Co-Founder of Centennial Asset Management, a boutique asset management business with a bias towards small and mid-cap Australian equities.

Glenn holds a Bachelor of Arts / Bachelor of Commerce from Monash University, Melbourne. He has worked closely with several of Australia’s wealthiest families and has decades of funds management and investment experience.

Leah’s career spans FX, margin lending at BT Financial Group, hedge fund relationship roles, UBS (Fixed Income and Risk Managed Products), and client service for UHNW multi-family offices. She has also led investor relations for global hedge and property funds.

Background

Siddesh is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Advanced Finance and Economics at the University of Queensland, where he is a Stavros Niarchos Foundation Scholar and a member of the Liveris Academy for Innovation and Leadership. His academic journey began at the Queensland Academies of Science, Mathematics and Technology, where he achieved an IB score of 43.75 (99.55 ATAR) and received the Platinum Award for academic excellence.

At UQ, Siddesh has held leadership roles in organizations such as UQIES and UQ Fintech, and served as a team leader at 180 Degrees Consulting. He has demonstrated his analytical skills through participation in various case competitions, including winning the Deloitte Access Economics Case Competition.

Beyond academics, Siddesh co-founded the Australian Access Academy, a charity providing free tutoring to rural students.
